Handmade from heavy duty cedar and protected with an all natural beeswax finish, it features an opening front door with two plexiglass viewing panels! With tunnels sized at approx. 8mm and 6mm, we have ensured an efficient nesting cavity for our tiny super-pollinators (mason, leaf-cutter, and small carpenter bees) while preventing predatory insects from access. Yearly cleaning: Tunnels can be cleaned out with a gentle narrow brush in early spring after bees have hatched/emerged.
*Please DO NOT use paint, varnish, or other chemical products that could harm the bees.
*Please DO NOT submerge house in soap or chemicals for cleaning. This can harm your bees! If mites are found, use a diluted vinegar wash to gently clean out tunnels, and let fully dry.
